These sewer caps are great! They are made to slip onto 4-inch schedule 40 PVC, which has a wider diameter than 4-inch DR35 drain/waste/vent pipe. If that's what you have, you'll need an adapter ring/collar. I got one for a few dollars from Lowes described as "Transition from Drain Waste Vent (DWV)/Schedule 40 (SCH40) fittings to Sewer and Drain (Sewer and Drain) pipe with the PVC Adapter Bushing," Item #24093 and Model #L2P42. I hope this helps the next person who needs to use one of these sewer caps on DWV pipe instead of schedule 40.
