About Sewer Air Test Plugs
Air Testing vs. Water Testing
Sewer air test plugs are designed to hold pressure for both air and water testing of drain-waste-vent systems. Unlike standard blocking plugs that are rated for water head only, these plugs are rated to the PSI levels required for air testing — where a small leak under pressure can cause a test failure.
Sure-Grip vs. Kwik Sure
Sure-Grip — Mechanical water and air testing plug rated up to 22 PSI. Hand-tighten to expand the seal. Available in 1.5” to 4” for residential and commercial DWV systems.
Kwik Sure — Higher-pressure mechanical plug rated up to 185 PSI (varies by size). Compact design for clean-out and end-of-pipe testing. Available from 0.39” to 5”.
Also includes air testing hose assemblies
Low Pressure Air Testing Triple Hose assemblies in 25’ and 50’ lengths — the inflation and gauge lines you need to connect your air test setup.
