Description
The Cherne® Air-Loc® Fan Assembly with Briggs & Stratton Engine (part #12100) is a gas-powered 30 in. fan unit that does triple duty on sewer job sites as a line stringer, ventilator, and smoke blower. Its vacuum pulls a lightweight parachute through wet or dry lines to string sewer sections in seconds, and the same airflow ventilates manholes and lines before entry or testing.
Key Features
- Dependable Briggs & Stratton engine — gas power means no generator or shore power needed at remote manholes.
- Three tools in one — works as a line stringer, suction ventilator, and smoke blower for the Air-Loc® system.
- Fast line stringing — pulls a nylon parachute through a 300 ft. sewer section in under a minute without plugging the line.
- High-volume airflow — delivers up to 2,350 CFM as a suction ventilator to support confined-space entry practices.
- Lightweight aluminum construction — foam base minimizes vibration and top-mounted handles make it easy to position over a manhole.
Applications
Municipal sewer crews and pipeline contractors use the Air-Loc® fan assembly to string test lines ahead of joint or acceptance testing, ventilate manholes and sewer lines, and drive smoke testing to locate inflow and infiltration sources.
