Cherne 3" Clean-Out Gripper ® Plug, 17 PSI

The Cherne 3" Clean-Out Gripper (part #270-178) is a mechanical test plug for 3" NPT threaded cleanout openings — guaranteed to seal most damaged threads. Rated for 17 PSI / 40 ft. head pressure. Fits 3" NPT cleanout fittings in cast iron and DWV pipe (usage range 3.23"–3.50"). The 2.2" long, 3.5 oz plug installs without tools using the wing nut. Glass-reinforced ABS body with natural rubber threaded O-ring and stainless steel hardware — corrosion-resistant for long-term installations.
