Cherne 12" Iron Grip Bypass Plug, 2.6 PSI, 1" Bypass

The Cherne 12" Iron Grip Bypass Plug (part #268-128) is the largest Iron Grip in the Cherne line — a 28 lb cast iron mechanical test plug with 1" NPT bypass for 12" sewer and storm pipe. Rated for 2.6 PSI / 6 ft. head pressure. Fits 12" pipe (usage range 11.56"–12.2" ID). The 19.5" long cast iron body with natural rubber O-ring provides maximum durability for large-bore municipal pipe. The 1" bypass on this model is larger than the 1/2" used on smaller sizes.

At 2.6 PSI, this is strictly a low-head plug. For higher pressure at 12", use the T-Handle Gripper with Bypass (10 PSI) or the I-Series Muni-Ball (15 PSI).
