From luxury safari tents to rustic treehouses in the woods, here are some of our favorite glamping vacation ideas.

Glamping (/ˈɡlampiNG/) noun: a type of camping that incorporates accommodation and amenities more glamorous than those associated with traditional camping.

Coined sometime around 2005, glamping—also known as luxury camping or glam camping—was already a rising travel trend before the COVID-19 pandemic. But now,  demand is being further spurred by the pandemic, as glamping ticks off many of the requirements on pandemic travel wishlists:  It’s ideal for road trips for those who want to avoid flying, it’s centered around private spaces without shared lounges or elevators, and it provides access to the great outdoors and modern amenities. All this, and no camping gear or wilderness survival savviness required.

Does your perfect vacation involve both serene wilderness and warm showers? Stunning ocean views and air conditioning? Stargazing and laundry facilities? Glamping might just be your travel style.

To inspire your next glamping adventure, we’ve rounded up some of the coolest glamping vacation ideas for 2021. Read on for 13 best glamping vacations you can take right now:
