The Torquer Difference
The Torquer’s all-nylon construction means zero metal corrosion in aggressive groundwater environments. Turn the wing nut, the gasket expands against the pipe interior, and you get a liquid-tight, tamper-resistant seal. Every Torquer accepts a padlock or lockout tag through the locking eyelet — essential for chain-of-custody at regulated monitoring sites.
Standard vs. Vapor Extraction
Standard Torquer — Sealed closure for wells that only need periodic access for sampling or inspection.
Vapor extraction Torquer — Same body with a barbed or quick-connect port for gas sampling and vapor recovery. Specified for landfill gas monitoring, SVE systems, and VOC screening.
SCH 40 and SCH 80
Available in both schedules. SCH 40 is standard for most monitoring wells; SCH 80 has a smaller bore for thicker-wall pipe. Match the plug to your casing schedule — they are not interchangeable.
